I am excited to welcome you to the new Government Contractors Business Forum (GCBF) website - which is a work in progress.
If you’re an established government contractor or consultant who does business with the government; a former or current GCBF member checking up on our latest news; or a government official seeking additional information about the GCBF, I trust you’ll find what you’re looking for here.
The GCBF is a distinguished business group of government contractors and consultants in various industries that are seeking to significantly increase their market share in the public sector by: strengthening their governmental and business relationships; obtaining current procurement, bidding and contract information; and avoiding costly investigations which may result in civil and criminal penalties.
The GCBF is committed to bringing together Chicago’s top contractors with governmental agencies to help facilitate their continued growth and success in a constructive, bold and newly designed business environment at The Metropolitan in the Willis Tower. Participating businesses are invited to be a member of the GCBF and attend monthly meetings with key representatives of the City of Chicago and its sister agencies, Cook County, State of Illinois and the federal government. The primary purpose of our business meetings is to keep GCBF members abreast of current and pending developments in government procurement regulations, policies, legislation, business resources, DBE/MBE/WBE participation requirements and major contract opportunities.
For the past ten years, I have had the pleasure of chairing the GCBF and look forward to our upcoming 2019 GCBF Program Series which starts in January. Our government contracting and diversity compliance focus, executive level participants and innovative business approach are what makes us stand out from the crowd. It’s why the GCBF has been recognized as one of the nation’s preeminent business groups for government contractors and why so many of our participating businesses/members keep coming back to us. I’m proud of our diverse membership and participating agencies, and give you my personal commitment that we will deliver what we promise and do it strategically and ethically.
In addition to chairing the GCBF, I am a partner in the Chicago office of the national, full-service law firm of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB). QPWB holds the distinction of being the largest minority and women-owned law firm in the country with 21 offices nationwide. I provide consultation, strategic guidance, training and advocacy to government contractors and agencies in the practice areas of government procurement and contracting, bidding, contract compliance and diversity compliance. I represent industry leaders that are major corporations, large businesses, mid-sized and small businesses, including disadvantaged, minority, women and veteran-owned businesses. I also represent government agencies and non-profit organizations.
This may seem impossible. After more than 30 years of advising government agencies and contractors, I have mastered how to make government contracting less frustrating and more profitable. According to 97% of the persons who have attended meetings of the GCBF, this is the reason why they want the GCBF to continue and why they want to come back.
Our 2019 GCBF Program Series will make you and your team life’s a lot easier when competing for government business by receiving information about new procurement rules/regulations, prospective teaming partners and major bidding opportunities directly from government officials on both sides of the aisle. In addition, our team of experts will provide you government contracting support – for no additional fee.
If this sounds like it could help you achieve your business goals in the local and federal governmental marketplace, you should consider joining the GCBF today. Although our GCBF public and private network exceeds over 500 supporters, only 75 businesses will be allowed to participate in the 2019 GCBF Program Series. We have a limited number of available memberships. We hope that you join us for another amazing, productive year!
Please enjoy our website and feel free to contact me or our GCBF office for additional information. If you have ideas or suggestions regarding how the GCBF can be more effective in supporting government contractors, I would love to hear them.
